How credits and subscriptions work — the 6 rules
- One balance — one currency. PAYG credits and subscription credits are identical. One number on your dashboard labelled "credits available".
- Subscription adds to your balance — never resets it. On billing day your monthly allowance is added on top of whatever you already have.
- PAYG credits consumed first — subscription batches second. Oldest PAYG credits are used first to protect customers who cancel.
- Switching PAYG → subscription: seamless upgrade. Existing PAYG balance is untouched; subscription batches are added immediately and mailbox monitoring activates immediately.
- Cancelling subscription → drops back to PAYG gracefully. Subscription stops adding batches on the next billing date. Remaining subscription batches stay usable until consumed.
- Ran out mid-month — top-up prompt, not a hard block. Clear prompt with one-click top-up. Never silently fail.
